This Privacy Policy explains how AskDholera (the website at askdholeraa.com, referred to here as "AskDholera", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects personal data when you use our website, and the choices and rights you have. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act").
AskDholera is an independent information website about the Dholera Special Investment Region. The website is run by its operator (the "operator"), who acts as the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy. Because we are at an early stage and no public office contact is yet published, all privacy requests should be made through the enquiry form on the site, described in the Contact section below.
We collect two kinds of information.
(a) Information you give us through the enquiry form. When you submit an enquiry, we collect:
(b) Basic technical and usage information. Like most websites, we may automatically collect limited, standard technical data such as basic cookies and analytics information (for example, pages visited, approximate location at a city level, device or browser type and referring source). This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used and to keep it working well. We do not use this data to build detailed profiles of individuals.
We use the personal data you provide for limited, specific purposes:
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name, phone, email, message, page | To read, understand and respond to your enquiry, and to follow up with you about it. |
| Cookies & analytics | To operate the website, measure general usage, and improve content and performance. |
We process your enquiry data on the basis of your consent, given when you voluntarily submit the form for the stated purpose of getting a response from us.
When you submit the enquiry form, your submission is emailed to the site operator so that it can be read and answered. Your details are used to respond to you and are not published on the site. We restrict access to enquiry data to the operator and anyone who genuinely needs it to reply to you.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not share your enquiry details with developers, brokers or other third parties for their own marketing. We may use trusted service providers (for example, email or website hosting and analytics) purely to operate the site, and only to the extent needed for that purpose.
We may use basic cookies and a privacy-conscious analytics tool to understand aggregate usage. Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings; most of the site will continue to work if you do. Where an analytics provider is used, it processes data under its own terms as our service provider.
We keep your enquiry data only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to and manage your query, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping, follow-up or where required by law. When the data is no longer needed for these purposes, we take steps to delete it or render it anonymous. Aggregate analytics data, which does not identify you, may be retained for longer.
We take reasonable security safeguards to protect personal data against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or loss, consistent with the "reasonable security safeguards" expectation under the DPDP Act. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information through the enquiry form.
Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act, you have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, contact us through the enquiry form (see below). We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
AskDholera is intended for adults with an interest in the Dholera region. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. In line with the DPDP Act, if we become aware that we hold a child's data without required consent, we will take steps to delete it.
We aim to align our practices with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, including: collecting personal data only for a lawful and specified purpose; limiting collection to what is needed for that purpose; relying on your consent for enquiry data; retaining data only as long as necessary; applying reasonable security safeguards; and honouring your rights to access, correction and erasure. As rules and guidance under the Act evolve, we will update our practices and this policy accordingly.
Because no public office address, email or phone is published for AskDholera yet, all privacy questions, consent withdrawals, deletion requests and grievances should be sent through the enquiry form on our website. Please describe your request clearly so we can act on it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or the law. The current version will always be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
